Letter from the President to the Members

Dear Members, Dear friends,

Dear Members, Dear friends,

Unfortunately, it is once again difficult to comment on the year that is about to end, other than labelling
2023 as a terrible year characterized by wars, destruction, deaths and massacres that increasingly
undermine global peace. In fact, it is difficult to consider the invasion of Ukraine by Russia and the war in
Palestine between Hamas and Israel as simple local crisis. The hope is that the world will want to recognize
the right to live in peace, thus allowing itself to deal, in a shared and effective way, with the many problems
that afflict it, starting from poverty and hunger, from waves of migration to climate change. Unfortunately,
I think I can safely say that the signs are certainly not pointing towards this direction.
However, for our Registry 2023 was a positive year. The usual and planned international Raduno did not
take place in the spring because it was preferred to share with our friends of RIAR an event dedicated to
the 6C 2500 on Como Lake in the splendid setting of Villa d'Este. The 2023 Raduno will be proposed again
on 9-11 May 2024 and will take place near the Maggiore Lake, between Stresa and nearby Switzerland, up
to Lugano where we will be guests of our friend Axel Marx who will show us his wonderful collection.
During the Raduno, more precisely on 10 May 2024, the Registry Assembly will take place (please find
attached the formal convocation).
After over 25 years, as I anticipated during the last elections, I wish to leave the role of Chair giving the
baton to a new Chair who can validly contribute to the further development of our Registry. On this regard,
I naturally ask interested parties to communicate their availability to the Secretary Fabrizio Borghi by 10
April 2024. My successor will then be elected according to the rules established by the Statute.
Naturally, there will surely be the opportunity for a formal farewell. I wish to thank everyone for the long-
standing trust they have placed in me and for the great honour that serving the Registro in the role of Chair
has represented, sharing the common passion and developing rewarding relationships of friendship with
many of you.
This year the Registry was present at the first edition of the Bologna Fair (formerly Padua) where our stand
was very popular (we increased the number of members) as well as admired, so much that it was
photographed and published in magazines as Auto D’Epoca e Ruote Classiche.
Therefore, there are excellent growth prospects, and my thanks go, as usual, to my friends Claudio
Giorgetti, Emanuele Morteo, Fabrizio Borghi, Alessandro Salvetti for their constant commitment to the
Registry.

A warm greeting to all of you together with the warmest wishes for the upcoming holidays:
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Stefano Centanni
