XXI Raduno 6c 2500/2300

Le 6c2500 allo Spettacolo Sportivo Zandvoort 24/26 August 2018

Spettacolo Sportivo 24/26 Agosto 2018 Zandvoort

Last year ended the XX Rally,  we announced that the XXI of our Register 6c2500 would have been in Holland. The occasion was the 40th anniversary of the Dutch Alfa Romeo Club "KLAVERBLAADJE".
Those who did not take part missed a great event, an Alfa Romeo party that I only saw in Holland and I think it's unique in the world for the participants, the quality of the cars and the public.
Theo Meinster and Gerrit Mobach  have studied and prepared a special weekend only for our 6c2500 and for their crews not suitable for running on the Zandvoort circuit.
The weather was good despite Saturday's forecasts not being the best.
The meeting started  on Friday in Vogelenzag in a renovated train station in a typical restaurant.
Dining room reserved for our crews and then departure for Harleem with a minibus.
Branderhorst and Dave Geysen, participants respectively with 2500 Berlinetta Touring and 2500 Siluro race, have been the guides for the historic Harleem and some of us have tasted the herrings at the Dutch tradition, raw and savory, a delicacy.
Accommodation at the NH hotel opposite the entrance to the Zandvoort circuit and excellent dinner with Spanish wines.

Saturday morning departure with our cars for the "Zaanse Schans" Windmills Park.
Lunch and visit of the "Quadrifoglio" mill: more Alfa Romeo than that !!!
In the afternoon guided tour and ferry to visit the Cruquius museum but a few kilometers from the arrival a failure level crossing forced us to return to the circuit ahead of time.
Saturday evening gala dinner with 250 guests at the hotel and at the end a only oneClub has been awarded: our Register 6c2500. A beautiful "photo book" with all the Dutch 6c was donated to us all.
Beautiful words from Gerry and Theo at the 6c Register and group photo with Friederich Bentake, Ad Branderorst, Dave Geysen, Emanuele Morteo, Umbero Galloni, Giacomo Barzaghi, Timo Jaatinen, Matthias Metz, Volker Seefeldt, Douwe Heida, Jan Steutel, Fabrizio Borghi, Claudio Giorgetti.
Sunday morning with a bright sun we witnessed untill noon a great event of all the Alfa  models from 1925 to 2018 that in shifts they gave battle on the beautiful circuit, four km long approx, that is a continuous ups and downs among the sand dunes.
We could not miss the Scuderia del Portello with different formulas from the Alfa Boxer, to the F3, GTA, TZ and TZ2.

FCA was represented by Marco Fazio.
At 12.00 all on track, 1000 Alfa ???, among which stood out the 2000 Sportiva of  Axel Marx , all the clubs with national flags and banners to the sound of the Inno di Mameli, an unforgettable show.

Thanks Klaverbladje, Gerrit and Theo.
